The Iwate Creation Human Resource Training Program with a Global Perspective
The Global Education Center plans and runs the IHATOVO Global Course, which aims to enable students to gain an understanding of global issues that are present in Iwate, contribute to solutions, and train their ability to share information. Through participation in this course, students improve their knowledge and investigative ability, communication ability, and human power, and train as talented personnel who will play active roles in local and international society.
Course Composition
The course is divided into the categories of A. Foreign Languages, B. Communication, C. International Education, and D. Practical Learning. Each category consists of classes and extracurricular activities. Students gain Global Mileage by participating in classes and activities. Students who have earned a certain amount of Global Mileage by taking classes in each of the categories A-D and participating in any of the extracurricular activities are awarded an IHATOVO Global Course completion certificate. Even if the course is not formally recognized, students can be commended based on the Global Mileage that they have earned. The course may also provide an incentive for training and study abroad.
